More Georgian Favorites at the Festival
Our Orlando Georgian food festival menu goes far beyond the classics. Come hungry and discover authentic dishes from every corner of Georgia:
- Khinkali — hand-pleated Georgian soup dumplings filled with spiced meat and a burst of hot broth. Grab them by the stem and eat like a local.
- Adjaruli Khachapuri — the famous boat-shaped cheese bread crowned with a runny egg and a pat of butter. Pure comfort food.
- Mtsvadi — Georgian-style char-grilled pork or beef skewers, smoky from the vine-wood fire and seasoned simply with salt and onion.
- Badrijani Nigvzit — silky fried eggplant rolls stuffed with garlicky walnut paste and topped with pomegranate seeds.
- Lobio — hearty slow-cooked red beans with herbs and spices, served with cornbread (mchadi). A vegetarian favorite.
- Pkhali — colorful vegetable and walnut pâté made from spinach, beet, or eggplant. Light, fresh, and plant-based.
- Satsivi — tender chicken in a velvety walnut-and-spice sauce, a beloved Georgian holiday dish.
- Lobiani — warm flatbread stuffed with seasoned mashed beans, baked until golden.
- Churchkhela — the original "Georgian Snickers": walnuts dipped in thickened grape juice and dried into a sweet, chewy treat.
- Shotis Puri — crusty bread baked on the wall of a traditional clay tone oven, right before your eyes.
Pair any dish with qvevri-aged Georgian wine — bold Saperavi, crisp Rkatsiteli, or semi-sweet Kindzmarauli — and finish with homemade lemonade or a taste of Georgian chacha (21+). The supra (Georgian feast) is calling.
